Group Therapy

Connect with others who share similar experiences in a facilitated group setting that offers perspective, support, and community.

Understanding the Process

What Is Group Therapy?

There is a unique kind of healing that happens when you realize you are not alone. Group therapy brings together a small number of people, typically 5 to 10, who share similar challenges or goals. Guided by a licensed therapist, the group becomes a space for mutual support, shared learning, and practicing new skills in real time. Many people find that group therapy offers insights and connections they could not access in individual work alone.

Is This Right for You?

Who Is It For?

Group therapy can benefit anyone, but it is especially valuable if you are seeking connection with others who understand what you are going through. We offer groups for people experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, substance use recovery, and more. It is also a great option for those who want to build social confidence, practice interpersonal skills, or supplement their individual therapy with a different kind of support.

Your Experience

What to Expect

Groups typically meet weekly for 60 to 90 minutes over a set number of weeks, usually 8 to 12. Before joining, you will meet individually with the group facilitator to discuss your goals and make sure the group is a good fit. Sessions may include guided discussion, psychoeducation, skill-building exercises, and open sharing. Ground rules around confidentiality, respect, and participation are established at the start. You will never be forced to share more than you are comfortable with.
