Family Therapy

Bring your family together in a supportive setting to improve communication, heal old wounds, and build healthier dynamics for everyone.

Understanding the Process

What Is Family Therapy?

Families are complex systems, and when one member is struggling, everyone feels the ripple effects. Family therapy brings together parents, children, siblings, and sometimes extended family members to address conflict, improve communication, and strengthen the bonds that hold your family together. Our therapists create a warm, nonjudgmental space where every voice is heard and every family member can contribute to healing.

Is This Right for You?

Who Is It For?

Family therapy is for families experiencing conflict, communication breakdowns, or major life transitions such as divorce, blending families, a new baby, relocation, or loss. It is also valuable when a family member is dealing with a mental health concern, substance use, or behavioral issues, and the family wants to understand how to best support them. Families of all structures, including single-parent, blended, adoptive, foster, and chosen families, are welcome.

Your Experience

What to Expect

Sessions are typically 50 to 90 minutes long and may include the whole family or rotating combinations of family members depending on the needs of each session. The therapist will help identify patterns in how your family communicates and interacts, and guide you toward healthier alternatives. Expect a mix of conversation, skill-building exercises, and sometimes creative activities, especially when younger children are involved. The pace is gentle and age-appropriate for all participants.
